My Story

While building this site is another challenge to teach myself a new skill. I also started this project to simply have a place to document my thoughts – while aiming to provide a different perspective. Black men are more than the stereotypes they are often portrayed- hopefully through sharing my passions, thoughts and even missteps this platform can help challenge those stereotypes and change some views.

I was born in Scotland in 1984, and soon after my mother I and made our way to a small farming town in Ontario Canada. You can read more about that story and my experience growing up in an all-white town here while growing up with no one who looked like me

With 15 years in the advertising industry, working on large and small brands, and being a part of the team that launched BuzzFeed Canada – I’ve recently started my own digital strategy and design agency – Sadie.

Over the past few years, I’ve been focused on my overall health and fitness. From yoga & meditation to deadlifts. This led me to build a green tea brand called Sajin, which is focused on self-care and mental health.
